Dermaplaning is a non-invasive skincare procedure that involves gently exfoliating the skin’s surface using a sterile surgical scalpel. This precise technique effectively removes dead skin cells, vellus hair (peach fuzz), and built-up debris, leaving the skin smoother, brighter, and more youthful in appearance.

Throughout this course, you will delve into the fundamentals of dermaplaning, starting with an in-depth exploration of skin anatomy and physiology. Understanding the intricacies of the skin’s structure will enable you to tailor treatments to individual skin types and concerns effectively.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you will learn the proper handling of dermaplaning tools and techniques, emphasizing safety, precision, and hygiene. Through hands-on practice sessions, you will hone your skills, mastering the art of controlled scraping to achieve optimal exfoliation and rejuvenation results.

Important Information

All of our courses include a theory session which will teach you areas such as the relevant anatomy, contraindications to treatment, health and safety, what equipment is required, step by step procedure and much more. Following this theory session is a tutor demonstration and practical session.

This training is done in small groups of between 1-4 students. You will all practice under the supervision of a qualified teacher.

This course will require a model. If you have any friends or family willing to be a model we can use them free of charge. If however you do not have a model please contact us to discuss as have options to assist.

The course is structured around theory, and home study, homework assignments, and online and onsite class-room tuition, practical demonstrations, online exam, complete portfolio reference and evidence. We will provide you full support and give you a guideline throughout until you complete your course.

You don’t need to bring a model

We understand that finding a model for practical assessment can be very frustrating and a big hassle. We will provide you with a model for practical work, but if you prefer to bring your own model you are welcome to. We want to see your success and complete this course with full confidence. We ensure you have enough theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Cancellation and Refund policy:

All course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Where cancellations are permitted, at the discretion of the Academy management, they must be received in writing and this must be within 7 days of making payment, and must be received not less than 7 days before the course commences.
