NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy General (QCF) is an advanced beauty course and should be taken after completing the NVQ Level 2 in Beauty therapy course. This course will give you an opportunity to increase your professional beauty skills to an advanced level and helps to develop advanced professional beauty skills and knowledge e.g. electrical facial and body, massage. This will provide a strong foundation to be able to develop advanced skills, for instance to take a medical professional or aesthetic course.

Course duration :

12 days plus two days practical exam, which would be done one day a week for 12 weeks

Time :

10.00am – 17.00pm

All students require prerequisite VTCT Covid-19 prevention certificate as a mandatory pre-requisite for all training in order to complete we can arrange this for you if you do not hold it the cost is this must be completed before any practical work. The cost is £50.

We offer flexible payment plans. The student can pay their fees in two instalments. All students must pay at least 50% of the course fees due before enrolment. Also, the remaining balance must be paid within one month from the course starting date

  • UB30B13 Provide body electrical treatments (Vacuum Suction/ High Frequency/ Galvanic/ Faradic/G5)
  • UB30B14 Provide facial electrical treatments (Vacuum Suction/ High Frequency/ Galvanic/ Faradic/ Micro Current/ Microdermabrasion)
  • UB30B20 Provide body massage treatments
  • UB30B29 Provide electrical epilation treatments (Electrolysis hair removal)
  • UG31G22 Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
  • UG31H32 Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
  • UB30B23 Provide Indian head massage
  • UB30B24 Carry out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils

Prerequisite Covid-19 course:

The VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Beauty Therapy and Nail Services

If you’re holding an individual certificate of some unit above and want to upgrade for full diploma certificate this is also available.

This course includes prerequisite Covid-19 qualification. You are required to enrol prerequisite Covid-19 course along with this course to be able to carry assessment. This course will develop knowledge on the causes, transmission and effects of COVID-19, the importance of social responsibility and the methods used to control transmission, such as correct hand hygiene and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will also gain an understanding of the safe working practices required to protect yourself and clients.

Kits:

You are not required to bring your own kit for your practical assessment; however, these are available to purchase at school. The cost of the kit is not included in the course fee.

Uniform:

To attend this course you are required to wear a black tunic with black trousers, flat shoes (no heels) in black. If you don’t have a uniform, it is available to purchase at the academy.

The course is structured around theory, and home study, homework assignments, and online and onsite class-room tuition, practical demonstrations, online exam, complete portfolio reference and evidence. We will provide you full support and give you a guideline throughout until you complete your course.

You don’t need to bring a model

We understand that finding a model for practical assessment can be very frustrating and a big hassle. We will provide you with a model for practical work, but if you prefer to bring your own model you are welcome to. We want to see your success and complete this course with full confidence. We ensure you have enough theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

The benefits of taking this course are that it will help improve your professional beauty skills to an advanced level and this will lead you to becoming an advanced beauty therapist. This will lead you to be able to progress to more advanced courses including in the medical professional and aesthetic, such as laser, IPL or derma pen or chemical peel. Most insurances or medical clinic requires you to have a minimum NVQ Level 3 to be able to take a level 4 laser and IPL or aesthetic course or perform advanced skin treatment. By completing this course you will receive a certificate of VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in beauty therapy. The general VTCT NVQ qualification is a high standard of knowledge and skills qualification which is world recognized as a qualification and which most of hotel spas, medical clinics and beauty salons require for employment.

Cancellation and Refund policy:

All course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Where cancellations are permitted, at the discretion of the Academy management, they must be received in writing and this must be within 7 days of making payment, and must be received not less than 7 days before the course commences.
